Commonly seen ore beneficiation line is mainly composed of jaw crusher, ball mill, classifier, magnetic separator, flotation machine, concentrator, mixer, dryer and other equipment. Coupled with feeder, elevator and conveyor, a complete ore beneficiation plant is composed. The ore processing plant has such advantages as high efficiency, low energy consumption, high processing capacity, economy, etc, which can be roughly divided into magnetite ore dressing production line and flotation separation line. It also can be differentiated according to different selected materials, such as graphite beneficiation production line and dressing ash production line.

The common ore beneficiation processes are flotation technology, hematite magnetic separation technology, molybdenum production line, ferromanganese ore dressing production line, flotation production line, river sand and iron production line, copper beneficiation production line, gold ore beneficiation line, silver beneficiation line, etc.

Technological process

In general, ore beneficiation line mainly includes flotation separation and magnetic separation.

Basis operation of flotation technology: flotation technology is the same to other ore dressing methods, which should get the material preparation ready before separation. The ores should be ground and classified until they reach a proper concentration and fineness that fits for flotation. In addition, flotation technology also has the following several elemental works.

1. Adjust ore pulp and add flotation reagents. The purpose is to make the mineral surface properties different, namely change the wettability of mineral surface and adjust selectivity of mineral surface, thus making some mineral particles attached to bubble and some others not attached to.

2. Stir and create a large number of air bubbles. With the help of gas stirring effect of flotation machine, air in the ore pulp disperses and forms a lot of bubbles or the air dissolved in ore pulp forms microvesicle and be separated out.

3. Mineralization of air bubble. Ore grain of flotation equipment is selectively attached to air bubbles, which is the most basic behavior in flotation process.

4. The formation and scrape of mineralized foam layer. Mineralized air buddle rises to ore pulp surface from bottom of flotation cell and forms mineralized foam layer. Useful minerals are gathered in the foam, which will become ore concentrate after having scraped them out of the foam. Useless minerals are stayed in the flotation cell, thus realizing purpose of separation. Usually, the upfloated minerals are useful minerals in flotation separation, this flotation process is called direct flotation. On the contrary, the upfloated minerals are gangue, this flotation process is called reverse flotation. Flotation process is a more complex ore processing process. Its influencing factors can be divided into adjustable factors and factors that cannot be adjust. The adjustable factors include flotation process, grinding fineness, pulp density, slurry ph value and flotation reagent system. Factors that cannot be adjusted include property of raw ore and water quality of production water.
